Creating is my way of responding to the void: an act of love toward everything that is ineluctably destined to fade away.

Prussian Blue, the color of choice of this technique, embraces silence rather than being frightening: it allows one to look at disappearance through a filter of dignity and beauty, making the wound of emptiness acceptable and without diminishing its gravity.

My approach does not look at what fades as a fact to be documented, nor as a inert space, but as a special, intimate and fragile place that has driven me to become a guardian.

Guardian of Absence

By investigating the identity and vulnerability of human life, my faces offer those who remain the opportunity to caress with their eyes the sweetness of what stays, finally making the pain of loss sustainable.

My task is to hold onto what ceases to be.

My works stem from digital photography and generative software, transforming, through the chemical-physical process of cyanotype, into faces incarnated in matter.

My portraits are born to transmute pain into memory and absence into presence.

I resort to a formal harmony capable of making suffering tolerable, so that the observer may embrace its weught without turning their gaze away.
