Every three Days

The number of femicide victims is overwhelming: in Italy, every three days, a woman loses her life at the hands of someone who was supposed to love her. It is a disgrace we cannot ignore.

It's not easy to find an image that can convey the brutal violence of such acts. The impulse comes while listening to a news report: “Woman killed with 28 stab wounds.” A cold, blunt sentence that somehow stays with me.

I want to create a visual representation that depicts unimaginable hatred through a raw perspective, bringing to light the horror of such extreme violence.

This is my way of saying enough: enough silence, enough indifference, enough violence. It is time to change, and the time is now.

Unfortunately, violence against women has become a tragic norm. Every day, we witness stories of physical and psychological abuse that often go unnoticed or are overlooked.

In my works, the perspective is unique, direct, and impossible to ignore. The faces of women emerge from the blood of their wounds, a powerful image designed to denounce and awaken consciences.

This issue touches me deeply, and like many other women, I feel the weight of a battle I must fight every single day.
